The Chambers specialises in: Admiralty, Banking and Financial Services, Bills of Lading Disputes, Carriage of Goods, Commodities, Insurance and Re-Insurance, International Trade law, Shipping and Public and Administrative law.

Following a highly successful commercial business career, Alan Melvin-Farr was called to the Scots Bar in 2002. He has developed a large Public Law practice specialising in Immigration, Mental Health and Prison Law. Previously Scottish Editor of Prison Law Reports, he hasalso worked in Criminal Law and has acted as junior counsel in one of Scotland’s largest drug trials. In 2006 he joined the Bar of England and Wales and in 2009 established his own Chambers.
